The 5th annual HESTIVAL is just around the corner!! The “official kickoff weekend to camping season” is coming to Big B’s Delicious Orchard in Hotchkiss, Colorado on May 1-3, 2025. We have a fun-filled weekend planned so we put together a guide with all the information you need to know.
As a reminder, this year HESTIVAL is dedicated to public lands in partnership with The Conservation Alliance, The Western Slope Conservation Center and 1 % For the Planet, learn more HERE.
A HESTIVAL pass is required for entry for camping, live music, activities, free demos for everyone 13 years and older, 12 and under are FREE! A Meal Pass is required for all HESTIVAL meals, no matter age, which include breakfasts on Sat & Sun and dinner on Saturday.

Get a lay of the land and all the happenings for the weekend with the map and schedule below, please note that camping rigs such as vans, trucks, ground tents and smaller campers will go in the orchard. Any larger tow-behind campers ( longer than 25 feet) will go in the field camping.

+ All Dogs Must be on a Leash in the HESTIVAL Basecamp, Meal Zone and Courtyard and they are NOT allowed in the Courtyard during the Live Music Performances
+ To Reduce Single Use Plastic, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE bringing your own drinking vessel for morning coffee and happy hours, or purchase a HESTIVAL x MiiR mug to support public lands.

Friday, May 2nd from 2-6pm: (you will not be allowed in BEFORE 2pm!)
When you arrive at Big B’s Delicious Orchards (address for Google Maps 39126 CO-133, Hotchkiss, CO 81419 ) we have a newish entrance + check in area down in the field- check out map for details.
Late Friday Arrivals:
For anyone arriving after 9pm, please find a camp spot and check in with us in the morning to get your wristband.
Music Only Passes:
Gates open at 5pm. Music starts at 6:15pm. Friday night’s musical performance is open to the public but parking donations to Western Slope Conservation Center will be required for the show. Saturday night’s show is a ticketed show with a box office.

Yoga in the Orchard: both mornings from 8:15-8:45, byo mat- limited demo mats available!
Public Lands Power Hour: Grab a cup of Bivouac Coffee and join us Saturday morning at HESTIVAL for a powerful conversation about the future of the places we all love. We’re bringing together voices from conservation, outdoor business, media, and advocacy to explore the current state of public lands across the West — and what we can all do to help protect them. *Group Mountain Bike Ride*:Paonia has some great trails to ride! Meet at the Manzana Cyclery Table at 9:45am on Saturday for a group ride from the orchard or hop in a FREE Shuttle to the trailhead and a shop hang post ride.
*Guided Hike with The Western Slope Conservation Center and The Conservation Alliance (Shuttle Provided!) * : Join a guided hike and step directly into the landscapes we’re working to protect.Learn about our public lands and our flora and fauna in this area. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring sunscreen, water, snacks and your sense of wonder. This will be a moderate 3-4 hour hike depending on the pace of the group.
Dream Workshop with Professional Dream Worker: Learn more about the power of dreaming and what your dreams could be trying to tell you.
Kid-Friendly Activities:Join us in Basecamp for performances by Enchanted Kingdom, Facepainting, Balloon Animals, and Hay Bale rides around the Orchard
Lawn Games: Grab your friends and head to Basecamp to compete in the 1st Annual Radica Hammerschlagen Tournament or make new friends and play Cornhole, Horseshoes, Volleyball and more!
*Trail Run on Sunday Morning *: Move the legs before you travel home, join Zipfit’s very own professional runner Jeff Colt for a trail run on the local trails. Shuttle provided.
Public Lands Bingo! We’ve partnered with an incredible group of brands to build a gear raffle worth rallying around- enough gear to fill the back of a Subaru! All purchased tickets = donation to protect public lands. Be sure to participate in our weekend-long Public Lands Bingo to earn raffle tickets.*Shuttle provided; a link to register and secure your spot on the shuttle will be sent to all HESTIVAL ticket holders in Mid-April.
Wood-fired Sauna: visit Fire Within Sauna in the basecamp to book a 30-minute communal wood-fired sauna session, unlimited sauna-session weekend pass, or a one-hour private session for your group/party.

Support our local nonprofit by purchasing a limited edition HESTIVAL mug for $25 (includes a pour of cider/beer/NA beer and a $1 discount on all ciders at the Big B’s Cafe all weekend long!) All proceeds will benefit the Western Slope Conservation Center.

We are super excited to welcome an outstanding live music lineup throughout the weekend! All music will take place at the courtyard truck stage. Check out the HESTIVAL landing page for lineup.
Colorado in the springtime is highly unpredictable- so pack accordingly!

Camping at Big B’s is “rustic” and dreamy at the same time, here are the amenities available on the property throughout the weekend:
Yes, your little ones and fur babies are welcomed to attend HESTIVAL- each parent/guardian is responsible for their children and pets throughout the entire weekend. Please clean up after your dog and we keep them on the leash in group zones like Basecamp. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN COURTYARD FOR LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCES. We have plenty of kid friendly activities planned. Recommend bringing your kids extra snacks and food depending on their eating habits.
You are free to come and go as you please from HESTIVAL, and if you prefer to do other activities outside of our organized event, here are some suggestions on fun things to do in the area:
