The HEST Down Comforter features premium insulation of hydrophobic down paired with outdoor-ready easy to clean fabric. Smartly designed to include a clever cinch footbox which keeps the comforter in place while supporting thermoregulation throughout the night by allowing glabrous skin (hands and feet) to be exposed to reduce temperatures as needed for an optimal sleep experience outdoors. Clever features like top sheet loops and a cinch compression sack make the comforter easy to store, pack, & clean. HOME COMFORT, BUILT FOR ADVENTURE: Using high performance hydrophobic down and washable premium fabric suited for the outdoors, the HEST Comforter provides the same comforts of your home bed in a portable, easy to clean form.

PREMIUM QUIET FABRIC: The down proof, soft fabric is chosen for its comfort features that are quiet to the touch and movement, while slightly textured to avoid slipping off you constantly throughout the night. 

HYDROPHOBIC RESPONSIBLE DUCK DOWN:  The HEST Comforter is made with hydrophobic duck down to provide maximum insulation and warmth even if it rains! The down is certified to the responsible down standard, ensuring the waterfowl have been treated humanely. 

TOP SHEET COMPATIBLE: The HEST Comforter is designed with top sheet loops so it’s easy to keep your sheet and comforter together, no slipping or sliding. The top sheet adds a level of home comfort, warmth and keeps your HEST comforter fresher for longer with an easy option to remove & wash. 

MACHINE WASHABLE:  Fresh and clean like your home bed! The HEST Comforter is easy to wash. Plus paired with the added functionality of the Top Sheet, it’s even easier to keep your Comforter fresh & clean. 

CINCH & TUCK FOOTBOX:  Designed with an adjustable footbox cinch so you can customize your sleeping preference for a tidy tuck with draft protection or a loose fit for free range feet. When cinched around the foot of the mattress, the comforter stays tucked and tidy with draft protection as well as prevents it from easily sliding off or from one partner hogging too much as they shift positions throughout the night. For more ventilation, simply release the cinch toggle and hang your feet outside the comforter to cool down. 

650 FILL:  With a fill power of 650, the HEST comforter is lofty, warm, and comfortable. Double Comforter Fill Weight: 880 g; Single Comforter Fill Weight: 580 g. 

HEST MATTRESS COMPATIBLE:  Designed to spec with all sizes of HEST mattresses; the high r-value memory foam below you and hydrophobic duck down on top home comfort is truly achievable in the outdoors! The HEST Comforter can also of course be used separately as a throw blanket or with another kind of camping pad! 

OUTDOOR READY: Built for all-terrain travel in all kinds of weather; with a recommended temperature range of 40 degrees Fahrenheit and above.  The 40D Polyester fabric is coated with a PFC free finish, so it’s dirt & water resistant. 

COMPRESSION + STORAGE SACKS INCLUDED:  With each purchase, the HEST Down Comforter includes two portable storage options. For full HEST bedding organization and longer term storage to promote healthy loft and longevity, we recommend using the Tote Bag. For shorter term needs where space and being transportable deems importance, a compression sack is included as well.

Luxury Hotel Bedding For Recreational Homelessness

"I've had this comforter for at least a year now (maybe 2) and I have to say I really like it. I currently have it paired up with an Exped Megamat that I use the Hest fittes sheet in and this makes for a very toasty setup. This comforter is rated down to 40 degrees and I would say thats pretty close. I had it down into the 30s (32° one of the nights) last weekend and I was pretty warm with only an added thin camping blanket inside. The footbox is probably the weakest point if you dont keep it fluffed up but otherwise its very comfortable for those of us who dont want to be suffocated by a mummy bag and dont want to lose our covers when we toss/turn at night. I don't know that its 300 dollars (especially with competitors on the market) lovely, but the material is a huge selling point if you don't like the sheer sleeping bag material. In fact, the material is probably my favorite aspect. I haven't had the courage to do a deep wash on it yet but it freshens up easily and wipes down effortlessly. Luckily, I maintain pretty clean quarters so I haven't needed to throw it in the washer. Its definitely a worthwhile candidate."

Rugged Luxury!

"This comforter is one of the softest, but yet most durable comforters I have EVER owned. My pup and I are always out camping and he lays right with me, dirty paws, claws and all. Every comforter before this always ripped with him climbing on and off but my Hest comforter truly is… the best. Super lightweight, ultra warm and washes clean every time and I don’t even think twice to bring it outside and use it to throw over my shoulders around the campfire. I highly recommend this product!"

"I probably spend more time sleeping on Hest's product catalog than I do in my actual bed. My obsession started with the Foamy, then I got a pillow (then got another for my wife), then the sheets/pillow cover, and then I finally bought the Down Comforter - and it doesn't disappoint. Occasionally the top sheet pulls away from the comforter if I toss & turn at night but otherwise it's great. 9.5/10 for a great product!"

Home away from home

"This blanket is the only camp blanket you'll ever need again! The fabric is super soft and keeps us toasty at night. There is plenty to share between two people. Paired with the mattress and pillows, I've never had such a deep sleep away from home. We will never go back to sleeping bags again!"

Perfect to sleep in the rear bed of my truck

"I use this as a cover for my bedding when sleeping over night in my F150 with a HEST double wide mattress. I am short, so I can sleep at a slight diagonal and this comforter makes it a restful night . .. Not to thick where you sweat and not to thin to freeze. Highly recommend!"

Q&A

I received the down comforter and top sheet in size double. I noticed both have a distinct odor and wondered if that will go away with time, or do I need to wash it to get the factory odor out of it?
As a natural fiber insulation, duck down, our down comforter does have a unique smell new. This will dissipate over time once opened and aired out. If it does not, please let us know and we can send you a refund.
